West Coast Cocker Spaniel Club hosted its 3rd Annual Tracking Dog Urban test on Nov. 29, 2016 at Prado Regional
Park, Chino, CA. Judges were Pia Paulsen and Julia Priest. The test filled and we were able to offer an alternate track as
a titling track. Seven teams participated and there was one pass: CH CT Samamari N April’s The Dark Knight TDU BN
RN CGC (Gotham) handled by Colleen Keough. This team completed a 500 yard track in 26 minutes. Stinky feet track layer was
Julie Martin. The passing team receives a plaque and rosette. The other tracklayers were Teri Meredyth (Chief), Naia Stier, and Evelyn Jones.
Many roles were performed by WCCSC members: Bud Doyle - test chair, Patty Kohn - test secretary and tracklayer driver, Bernie
Guzenske – plotting day driver, Colleen Keough - plotting day and Tuesday morning hospitality, Patti Auld - Tuesday
lunch hospitality, Lisa Pino - judge transportation, Leigh Fortier – tracklayer/competitor/judge driver, Sandra Willis
– base camp communication, and Sharon Rogers – test committee. Test/Award/Gift sponsors were Brenda McManigle,
Bud Doyle, Colleen Keough, Randy Lake and Leigh Fortier.
Thanks
to all for helping. It takes many people to run a tracking test and the tracking community in Southern California appreciates
the efforts of WCCSC for sponsoring the test.
